Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, JUJU, went through last weekend. Taylor claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Jujur’s lips shut.
Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
Puppy Lux mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method animal abuse california to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
